3 Cattle Egret turned up at Barton in Farbis South Notts yesterday - Could these be the Middleton Birds.

19th October

RSPB Middleton - Marsh Harrier 11am [Reedbed Pool] (K Ashley), 3 Cattle Egret left the riverside roost and dropped onto Jubilee South briefly - no sign of them in the roost at dusk which contained 2 Great Egret & c30 Little Egret. Also 10 Goosander [North Pit], 2 Stonechat [West Side].
KWP (North) - Lesser Spotted Woodpecker (R Walker).
Ladywalk NR (WMBC Members only) - Water Rail, 3 Snipe, 2 Goosander, 2 Rose-ringed Parakeet (J Kenny).

Alvecote - Cattle Egret now just to the West of the M42 - view from Linden Lane looking towards the slag heap (A Archer). 2 Stonechat, 2 Little Egret (M Scott).
RSPB Middleton - 3 Stonchat, Great Egret [Jubilee], 4 Raven, 2 Pochard [Fishers Mill], c20 Snipe, Raven [North Pit], 2 Hobby [car park], Marsh Harrier flushed from access track and headed towards Hall Lake (S Atkinson), Peregrine (D Corfield), 3 Cattle Egret roosted riverside with 2 Great Egret. Marsh Harrier on the main reserve at dusk.
