RSPB Middleton (Staffs) - Cuckoo calling East side, TREE PIPIT (seen and heard) West side,  5 Avocet, 2 Ringed Plover, 2 Little Ringed Plover, 5 Redshank, 2 Little Egret, 2 Common Tern and 2 Ruff [Jubilee Wetlands], 2 Egyptian Geese [Dosthill NR] (S Atkinson). Also Jubilee this morning single WHIMBREL 6.15 - 6.30am before continuing on its way North (G Briddick).
Kingsbury - Red Kite over at 11.45am (S Bagnall).
Alvecote Teal Pool - 2 (m&f) Garganey (J Allen).
Wishaw - Wheatear (C Hiles).

Just outside the recording area but worthy of a mention - RING OUZEL at Little Packington, tip side of Rectory Cottage (Carl Hiles). This site today also produced Red Kite (T Perrins) and 2 Wheatear (J Kenny).

20th April

RSPB Middleton (Staffs) - 3 Avocet, 4 Redshank, 2 Dunlin, Common Sandpiper, Little Ringed Plover, Raven, 3 Common Tern & 2 Ruff (G Williams), Willow Tit (A Bladon), additional birds tonight Black Tern, 2 Yellow Wagtail and 2 Ringed Plover.

19th April

RSPB Middleton (Staffs) - Garganey(m), Wheatear(f), Yellow-Legged Gull (Adult) and Common Tern. (RSPB), 6 Black-Tailed Godwits & Redshank (C Workman). 4 Avocet, 3 Ruff, 6 Redshank, Little Ringed Plover, Ringed Plover, Dunlin, 4 Yellow Wagtail and one to look out for tomorrow probable Wood Sandpiper (S Cawthray). Wheatear(m) & Curlew (G Williams per Birdforum). Little Gull (J Timms).
Birchmoor - 3 Little Ringed Plover - flooded field near A5 (R Smith).

RSPB Middleton (Staffs) -  2 (m&f) Wheatear, 3 Ruff, 2 Avocet, 3 Redshank, 4 Black-Tailed Godwit, 2 Common Sandpiper, 2 Little Ringed Plover, 2 Yellow Wagtail & 6 Common Tern roosted (Many Obs but thanks to R Walker, S Atkinson, J Scragg and M Wiltshire).
RSPB Middleton (Warks) - Whitethroat [Fishers Mill Canal Bridge] (RSPB).
KWP - 2 Mediterranean Gull, 5 Common Tern [Cliff Pool], 2 Common Tern and 2 Lesser Whitethroat [Hemlingford Water] (S Cawthray).
Marston Fields - Marsh Harrier (S Cawthray).
Coton - Red Kite flew South (S Wood).
Shustoke Res - 2 Common Tern, 5 (2m) Goosander and Lesser Whitethroat (J Kenny).
Wishaw - 2 Wheatear at Wiggins Hill (D Baker).

17th April

RSPB Middleton (Staffs) - Greenshank, Dunlin, 3 Ruff, 2 Little Ringed Plover, Ringed Plover, 2 Avocet, Redshank, Yellow Wagtail (S Pick), later KNOT [grey winter plumage] and 3 Dunlin (M Scott) - all birds Jubilee Wetlands.
KWP Mill Meadow - 2(m) Yellow Wagtail at 1pm (P Bateman). Late evening 3 Yellow Wagtail and 7 Pied (M Pollock & T Perrins).
KWP Bodymoor Heath Water - 2+ Arctic Terns (M Pollock). 1+ Arctic still present at 6.45pm plus c.9 Common Terns (T Perrins).
KWP Hemlingford Water - 5+ Arctic Terns, 5+ Common Terns and Common Sandpiper (T Perrins).
Alvecote Mill Pool - 2 Garganey (R Smith).

Terns seem to have moved on by dusk.

16th April

RSPB Middleton (location not given) - Greenshank, Egyptian Goose and Goldeneye (R Baker) also Common Sandpiper, Little Ringed Plover, 2 Ringed Plover, 2 Avocet, Redshank, Oystercatcher, White Wagtail, Lesser Whitethroat, Reed Warbler, Grasshopper Warbler & Sedge Warbler (S Cawthray).
Shustoke Res - Common Tern (R Walker).
Pooley LNR - 2 Cetti's Warbler (M Scott).

15th April

Alvecote Pools - Lesser Whitethroat (A Archer). 2 Garganey Mill Pool - initially just male (F Savage, R Smith) then later pair (A Archer), Raven and 2 Goosander (M Scott).
RSPB Middleton (Staffs) - 3 Ruff, 2 Avocet, 2 Ringed Plover, Little Ringed Plover [Jubilee Wetlands], Reed Warbler & 3 Sedge Warbler [Fishers Mill] (T Perrins), Grasshopper Warbler reported near West screen.
RSPB Middleton (Warks) - Lesser Whitethroat to West of Fishers Mill canal bridge (T Perrins).

14th April

RSPB Middleton (Staffs) - Osprey through Jubilee Wetlands at 9.30am (G A Williams). Wheatear in farm field West of North Pit 2 benches (P Aggett).
KWP Cliff Pool - Red Kite and 2 Willow Tit (T Perrins).
Alvecote Pretty Pigs Pool - 3 Ruff and Green Sandpiper (J Morgan).
Wishaw - Yellow Wagtail and 2 White Wagtail [Muck Heap] (M Pollock].
Shustoke Res - Common Sandpiper (M Pollock).
Amington Tamworth - 2 Lesser Redpoll garden feeder (T Perrins).

Amington Fields - Merlin (f) & Raven (M Scott).

12th April

RSPB Middleton - 2 Ruff, Golden Plover, 2 Ringed Plover, Redshank, 3 Oystercatcher, 3 Goosander, Swallow and Sand Martin (M Scott).
Amington Tamworth - Mealy Redpoll (original bird) on feeder plus possible 3rd individual now visiting this garden (T Perrins).

Just outside the area but still in the Tame Valley, Osprey through Ladywalk this morning at 7.50am (C Lee, B Richardson & M Royston) and Common Crane at Whitemoor Haye from Midday (A Bladon). The Crane is probably the same bird that went through Ladywalk and RSPB Middleton on Monday.
